Chic & Unique

Holly Gowler and Stewart Phillips became Mr & Mrs on Thursday 24th May 2012 at Leez Priory, Essex

Where did the wedding take place?

The ceremony and reception both took place at Leez Priory which is a stunning Tudor mansion set in 40 acres of parkland, complete with lakes, lawns and a sweeping driveway!

What did the bridal party wear?

I wore a strapless 2 piece ivory wedding dress with a bead and pearl decorated bodice.

Stewart wore a Grey tail suit with ivory waistcoat and cravat from Newmarket Formal Hire. The ushers, bestman and grooms men wore the same but with lilac waistcoats and cravats. The bridesmaids wore beautiful strapless chiffon gowns in lilac with ivory sashes.

What was your wedding day style?

We had a classic style with a few extras. Our main colour scheme was lilac with a little added sparkle with the use of diamonds, pearls and butterflies. I organised a sweet table from the Candy Bar which seemed to be a big hit with all our guests – big & small!

Were there any surprises?

Yes, lots! Leez Priory made a beautiful cake of cheese with little bride & groom mice which we had served as a fourth course for the wedding breakfast served with port.

And, the fireworks!

How did it end?

Our amazing day finished in true style with fireworks which Stewart had organised as a surprise for me - amazing!

Later, we jetted off to the Dominican Republic and honeymooned at a 6 star hotel!
