Pretty in pink

It was vintage all the way for Sophie and Paul Dyer when they tied the knot on the 10th November 2013

After the couple met at a fancy dress party where he was Maverick from Top Gun and she an 80's Fame dancer, it didn't take Paul long to realise that Sophie was the one and so on a Monday morning in early December Paul bought Sophie a bacon sandwich with a ring on the side of the tray!

Sophie wore a Champagne fitted wedding dress by Amanda Wyatt with beading detail on the corset and a ruffled skirt and Paul surprised her with some lovely Links bracelets to wear on the day.

The groom and his men wore navy tails hired from Moss Bross with an antique pink cravat and waistcoat.

The couple love all things vintage so decided on a shabby chic theme for their wedding at Gaynes Park.

A vintage suitcase was used as their table planner and every table decoration was different.

For little unique favours the couple made individual pots of cherry jam.

'We had a fab photobooth that we hired from Wackbooth,' Sophie explained.

'The guests loved it as they got to take fun photos home with them at the end of the night!

We also took some dance lessons for our first dance which we had lots of fun doing! They only problem was I obviously didn’t practice in a big dress and that caused some problems!'

The couple had a week's honeymoon in Egypt as this March they are off to Australia for Sophie's brother's wedding!

'Lyndsey Challis was our photographer,' recalls Sophie, and she was absolutely amazing.

She was so professional and we absolutely love all the pictures.

We had already seen Lyndsey's work as she was the photographer at my brother Paul's wedding 4 years previous. We wouldn’t have thought of having anyone else.'
