Sharon & Chris Howlett

Sharon married Chris at the stunning The Manor Hotel, Rainham on Saturday the 25th July 2015

The couple met at their running club, The Dagenham 88 Runners.

On Christmas Day 2013 the club made plans for its runners to meet but only Sharon and Chris turned up so after a run in the pouring rain the couple arranged their first date on New Year’s Eve at a masquerade party.

On her wedding day Sharon looked stunning in a crystal lace gown with a sweetheart neckline from House of Couture, Hornchurch; and she carried a hand tied bouquet of pale roses and freesias.

Chris was equally dashing in grey tails with an ivory waistcoat and cravat by Moss Bros.

“We wanted our wedding day to feel comfortable, relaxed and neutral with just a colour injection from the flowers with a hint of shabby chic,” explained Sharon.

“We also wanted to include a few personal touches so we had personalised heart shaped confetti with our names and date of wedding.

An 8ft x 6ft custom made chalkboard style canvas as a photo prop background.

Plus, all the centre pieces for flowers and candles were recycled jars decorated with hessian and lace.”

“The outside ceremony was my favourite moment as The Manor Hotel was fantastic with amazing scenery.

We were so luck with the fantastic weather, as it had pour with rain the day before and if the weather had not been as it was we would have had to have it indoors!”

“Peter and Kerry from Carruthers and Hobbs Photographers were fantastic; they knew the best places to capture the moment of our day. They are very friendly and easy to work with.”
