Pretty in Pink
Amy Chamberlain and Richard Gethin married on the 15th June 2013 at the Bedford Lodge Hotel, Newmarket
Richard and I met through friends on nights out in Cambridge, after a while we started talking and it went from there!
I wore a strapless Maggie Sottero gown from Brides By Solo, Newmarket. It was embellished with lace and had subtle sparkles all over the dress. I also wore an amazing cathedral veil which also had little sparkles that caught the light as I walked down the aisle, everyone said how stunning it looked.
Richard wore a traditional black morning suit with an ivory waistcoat and cravat and his grooms men wore matching morning suits but with pink cravats and pink pattern waistcoat.
Even our nephew had a matching suit which looked adorable!
My bridesmaids wore one shoulder cerise pink dresses which I bought from eBay.
My flower girls, my nieces, wore white Princess dresses, they had sparkles and lace to match my dress. I didn't choose a theme as such but I love the colour pink and the happy summery feel it gives to people so I knew this had to be included!
However, so it wasn't too much I added in purple, lime green and white.
We surprised our guests by hiring a sweet stall for the day with over 10 different jars of sweets; whilst the kids loved it, it was a bigger hit with the adults!
We ended by having a fun filled disco at the hotel; the dance floor was full all night.
My favourite party song Grease was requested by my sisters which caused a massive storm along with some Spice Girl tracks to get us girlies up and dancing!
For our honeymoon, which was our first time abroad together, we stayed in the amazing Blue Palace Spa Resort, Elounda, Crete. Spoilt rotten with amazing views, gorgeous weather and a whole week with my husband!
Our photographer was Douglas Stuart from D Stuart Photography and we couldn't have asked for any one better.
With Doug, a lot of the time you forgot you were being photographed. We are now looking through 600 shots to decide which ones will go in our album. How we are to choose I have no idea as they are all amazing!
