Divine desserts

Few people can resist a gorgeous dessert.

If you're having a summer wedding, then ice-cream-based puddings are an excellent choice, as are summer fruits such as blackberries and raspberries and delicious citrus sorbets.

For winter weddings, think warm and filling desserts, such as sticky toffee pudding or chocolate cake with hot choc sauce. Chocolate and raspberry is a classic dessert combination (shown left).

Cheesecake is a popular choice throughout the year, as are profiteroles and tiramisu.

If you're on a tight budget, consider serving up your wedding cake as dessert, or even making some yourself, such as apple pie or carrot cake.

Be inspired by food available in the season you marry, such as summer fruits & panna cotta (shown below).




As with the main course, it's all about presentation; the simplest dessert served on a white plate dotted with colourful sauce will look amazing. 

Something unique? Chat with your caterer and see if they'll come up with something just for you like heart shaped pink cookies filled with pale raspberry mouse.

However, if you're a dessert aficionado, you may want to have several pudding options, either serving guests a plate each of miniature treats or how about hiring waiters to wheel dessert trollies loaded with delicious options around the reception room?
