Sitting pretty

Brighten up wedding day chairs with colourful flowers and sashes

Chair decorations are an easy way to instantly make your reception tables appear more polished and sophisticated. However, while they transform a room into looking like a million dollars, it’s actually not an expensive option and you don’t need a stylist or wedding coordinator to create it.

Working with your existing colour scheme, order coordinating ribbon to wrap around chairs and neatly tie at the back with a bow. If you’re having chair covers, be sure to order a neutral shade, such as white, to avoid colour clashes. Don’t be afraid to experiment, for example organza is a beautiful alternative to satin ribbon, particularly when matched with the bows on your bouquet and cake.

Floral fun

Floral chair backs look wonderful and are a sweet memento for guests - be sure to leave a note on each table telling them to take the bouquets home.

You don’t need a fancy display; a simple posy is more than adequate to make an impact.

If you don’t have the budget for more flowers, why not prioritise floral chair backs for the top table only, or even just the bride and groom’s chairs?
