Carly and Nick Ives married at Leez Priory on the 13th May 2013
Thirteen years ago at Bletchley Leisure Centre, a teenage Nick met Carly.
He was there playing roller hockey and she had gone to watch a friend trampolining.
They have been together ever since although Nick was often in trouble for skipping hockey practice to meet Carly instead!
Nick proposed on holiday inside an Egyptian pyramid and moments later was offered several camels in exchange for his new fiancee - he declined!
When the couple viewed Leez Priory, they booked it on the spot.
'It was truly amazing,' enthused Carly. 'We held our ceremony and reception there as it is a stunning Tudor mansion.'
Carly wore a Sophia Tolli ivory gown with sweetheart neckline.
'I knew right away this was the dress I had to have.' she said. 'It was double my budget but worth every penny!'
Nick looked dashing in grey tails with a pink buttonhole which matched the bridesmaids elegant dresses and the pink colour scheme for the day.
To mark their wedding day they exchanged gifts with Carly receiving a diamond bracelet and Nick being surprised with a designer watch with their wedding date engraved on it.
Carly asked her father and Nick's to walk her down the aisle as, sadly, Nick's sister had died thirteen years ago and Carly wanted to give her new father-in-law the chance to walk a 'daughter' down the aisle on her wedding day.
'This meant the world to me,' explained Carly 'As it did my Dads.'
Their cake, displayed on a cake stand made by Carly's Grandad for his own wedding, had models of the couple and their much loved dogs.
Carly and Nick enjoyed an amazing honeymoon to the Maldives. 'I never thought I would be lucky enough to visit there,' Carly enthused.
'Maria was amazing and did an outstanding job, said Carly 'Very patient, calm and professional.’
