Samantha & Sandino

Samantha and Sandino married at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Woburn Sands and celebrated at The Conservatory at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden on the 3rd May 2015

Samantha and Sandino met on a night out with friends in Milton Keynes; after dating for eight years Sandino whisked Samantha off to the city of love, Paris, where he proposed on New Year’s Eve 2013.

As Samantha knew the fabric and style of dresses she had in mind for her wedding day she had them made by Estilo Moda in Milton Keynes.

“My dress was head to toe lace and tulle; it was a strapless boned mermaid dress in a light ivory and my eight bridesmaids wore long gowns of blush satin.”

Sandino wore a navy blue suit with a dipped waistcoat; blush coloured tie and blush rose button hole with a Vivienne Westwood tie clip to finish off his look.

“We wanted a soft, classic yet glamorous look so we chose white and blush seasonal roses and peonies then added rose gold features which included candle holders, glittered jars and a head table cloth.

We asked our florist to make us a Wishing Tree for our guests to write wish notes on for us. Next to this we’d placed a book with a relationship timeline of Santino and I for people to look at.

As we had 350 wedding guests we held our reception at The Conservatory at the Luton Hoo Walled Garden which is a stunning marquee set within a five-acre octagonal Walled garden within the beautiful grounds of the Luton Hoo Estate.

During our church ceremony we had a classic three piece strings group playing. Then for the day and evening a local DJ mixed music between Radio 1’s Live Lounge, the Gatsby soundtrack, beautiful Italian music and current chart music.

I wanted our first dance to be to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking out loud’ but Sandino thought it had been overplayed so we never actually agreed on a song.

However, the nicest surprise for me was when Sandino took me on to the dance floor for our first dance which was ‘Thinking out loud’ as he’d planned that song all along!

Our photographer, Carol Hemingway, was amazing; she captured our every wish and more.

She had a very large family to please but managed to capture every shot we wanted especially as we really wanted candid, fun photos rather than posed.”
