Claire & Paul Sheard

Claire and Paul Sheard held their ceremony and reception at the amazing Longstowe Hall, Cambridge on the 6th September 2014

‘Our fairy-tale venue included beautiful lawns, a rose garden and a lake with a small bridge to a pagoda at the end to hold ceremonies. The weather was kind to us so we had our dream outdoor wedding,’ explained Claire.

Claire wore a stunning strapless Benjamin Roberts gown of tulle and lace purchased from Fleur de Lys Bridal; whilst Paul looked dashing in dark charcoal tails with ivory, waistcoat and cravat.

“As soon as I heard the aisle music we had chosen for Claire I knew that I couldn’t wait to see her. I just knew that this was exactly where I wanted to be,” Paul told us.

‘My colour theme was teal with a touch of sparkle!’ said Claire. ‘As Paul supports Spurs all our tables were named after Spurs legends. Our top table was ‘Hoddle’, Paul’s football hero!’

Claire hid a love note in Paul’s breast pocket and texted him in the morning so he could find it; but Paul had his own surprise for Claire by despatching his best man to the venue with a handmade card and a heart locket!

‘The Best man’s speech was hilarious! Pat Appleby put together a fabulous collage of tales and photos of the groom. Everyone thought it was fantastic and joined in the laughter, although Paul was practically hiding under the table by the end!’

‘Peter and Veronika, Peter John Photography were brilliant!  They even stayed over their time in the evening for us.  The photos we received were of high quality and they captured the day brilliantly.’
