Lizanne and Daniel
Lizanne and Daniel married on Saturday 15th August 2015 in Our Lady’s Catholic Church, Luton and held their reception at Offley Place, Great Offley.
Exactly two years to the day after getting engaged we got married in the same church where my parents married.
Daniel and I have been best friends since we were 11 years old as we went to the same school together.
We were always really close and spent a lot of time going out and about with mutual friends too. In 2012 after a lot of family speculation I finally agreed to go on an actual date with Dan as he had been asking for as long as I could remember!
Knowing someone for 12 years already, we were only dating 10 months before we got engaged in Llandudno in Wales.
My gown was white lace with delicate cap shoulders and a keyhole back which I bought from Mignonette, Luton. Daniel wore a grey 3-piece suit from Youngs Suits.
The theme for the wedding was based on our love for traveling.
All the decorations were hand made by myself and the colour scheme was complementing shades of green and grey.
AA maps were ripped up and used to decorate the table numbers as well as the backgrounds in all of the frames.
Our card box was a suitcase, and my dad even made a sign post on which I painted names of the favourite destinations we had been to together.
As my new surname is now Dove each of the bridesmaids belt’s had a small white dove in the middle.
All the button holes and bridesmaid flowers had two small doves on them; as did our wedding cake!
One of the bridesmaids sung our first dance whilst one of the groomsmen played it acoustically on his guitar. Our song was NTrance -Set you free.
I’d like to thank Carrie Slack, bridesmaid, for making our cake and Lorna Malone a very close (talented!) family friend for doing all our flowers.
Lyndsey Challis, our photographer was amazing and everyone commented on how professional yet friendly she was. She took some stunning photographs and we will be forever grateful to her for capturing our day.
