Mark & Hannah

Hannah and Mark held their humanist wedding ceremony and reception at Hannah’s family farm on the 28th July, 2012

‘We wanted a no fuss, country farm style wedding with a relaxed and informal vibe,’ explained Hannah.

‘My Mum was the main drive and she did an amazing job of decorating the barn by dressing wellies and a collection of farm equipment with flowers.

We did absolutely everything ourselves even getting family friends in to do the hog roast!’

Hannah wore an elegant and original 1950’s butter-milk lace wedding dress which Mark and his groomsmen complemented with traditional tweed check jackets and waistcoats.

‘We just wanted our whole day to be personal which meant having it on the farm.

Our long term plan was to live on the farm and have our family (we now have a beautiful little girl) at the place we called home.’

Whilst the couple did have a DJ in the evening, they mainly wanted good food with lots of port and wine so everyone could entertain themselves.

‘Our photographer Becky was brilliant! She took wonderful informal photos and the best bit was when she trusted her life to my father when she climbed in the bucket of our JCB loader so she could get a great high group shot of us.

She was exactly what we wanted!’
