Ellie & Mal Wilson
Ellie and Mal Wilson held their ceremony at their village Soulbury church and their reception at Creslow Manor, Buckinghamshire on the 20th September 2014.
A relaxed garden party was the order of the day when Ellie and Mal married. “We had no theme or style - we just chose colours and things that we loved, and that fitted in with our lives in the village.
Our table plan showed the countries we visited during our 6 months of travelling around the world prior to the wedding,” says Ellie.
Keen to create a relaxed atmosphere, the couple were very hands on.
“Every guest had a hand-written, personal note from one of us on their place card - that caused tears early on when people read them; and Mal sourced locally-brewed ales to be stocked behind the bar.
Live band, ‘Loaded’ played all evening and were incredible!”
We hid a chef’s hat and apron under the chair of the person nominated to collect the beef course and carve it at their table; this caused a lot of laughter and fun!
Ellie wore ‘Rosalinda’ a Ronald Joyce white lace over satin and tulle A-line dress. While Mal wore a charcoal Carisbrooke suit and light green waistcoat.
“Our photographer, Graham, couldn’t have been better - totally unobtrusive but supportive and totally understanding of what we had asked for.
We also want to say a big thank you to Gingerlily Flowers – she MADE the day.”
