Hannah & Tony
Hannah & Tony Tied the knot on the 29th December 2016 at Vaulty Manor
After meeting whilst at university and being together for 16 years when Tony proposed on New Year’s Eve morning 2015 to say Hannah was shocked was an understatement.
In typical relaxed Tony style he proposed whilst Hannah was cleaning the house by tying the ring box to their dog Benson’s collar and sending him in to find her. “I think our friends and family had given up any hope of us ever tying the knot so seeing their reactions when we told them was priceless,” explained Hannah. “They were genuinely over the moon!”
“We often joked that if Tony ever bought me an engagement ring then I would buy him a Tag Heuer watch. On the morning of our wedding I gave him the watch - a deal is a deal right even if you have to wait over 16 years!”
The couple wanted a relaxed wedding with a little touch of winter.
“Vaulty Manor was the perfect setting.” says Hannah. “We had a beautiful frosty day with bright blue skies.
The barn looked just beautiful with twinkly fairy lights and the Christmas trees were still up.
The tables had floral candelabras created by talented florist Luke & Lottie Floral Design, with blush pink vintage roses, thistles, white snowberries and silver brunia.
There were sparkly tea lights and lanterns throughout the venue. I never imagined it would look so beautiful.”
As Tony hates cake they had a 6 tiered pork pie and cheese wedding cake beautifully decorated with grapes and figs which sat on a solid wood cheeseboard engraved with their names and wedding date.
“The amazing Lee Smith from Walkabout Magic entertained our guests throughout the day and all we kept hearing was, ‘How did he do that?’” said Hannah.
“In the evening Sean Smyth of MLC Disco provided the music and lighting which was fantastic and really gave the evening that wow factor.”
“Sally Forder, Binky Nixon Photography, was amazing! Tony nor I are keen on having our photo taken but she immediately put us both at ease and took truly beautiful images that we will treasure forever.”
