Siobhan & Christopher Johns

Siobhan and Christopher Johns married on the 2nd August 2014 at the Holy Family & All Saints Catholic Church, Witham followed by a reception at The Bull & Willow Rooms, Great Totham

“I wanted an informal, summery wedding with lots of pastel colours”, explained Siobhan.

“I wrapped jam jars and jugs in lace and asked our florist to fill them with wild flowers which was amazing and gave the room a wonderful summery floral scent.

Our wicker card basket was filled with pretty material and I put bunting and pompoms around the venue.”

“Picking one special moment from our day would be so hard as from walking down the aisle,  stepping out of the church as a married couple, or the moment at the end of the night when everyone had left and we sat outside looking at the stars and saw 2 shooting stars was all amazing.

But, I have to say if I had to choose, it would be the speeches; they were funny, emotional and just great.”

"I made all of the wedding cakes myself the day prior to the wedding!

Over the past year I collected cake stands from charity shops, craft shops, etc. which were then set up on a big cake table."

“Binky is the most talented photographer. She gave us great direction which created brilliant pics.

On the way back from the church to the venue, Binky asked for the car to drive into a field where she took some beautiful photos and it gave us some time to chat which was lovely.”
